7 Days To Die Update – Alpha 17 Vehicles
Alpha 17 is going to be a big update for the 7 Days to Die franchise. We’re here to document the journey. One of the main focal points for 7 Days To Die is the new Grand Theft Auto style Alpha 17 Vehicles System. Say goodbye to minibikes that fall through the world when you ride them, and say hello to Gyrocopters that do loop-the-loops in the sky!
Joel Huenink (@joelhuenink) goes in-depth below in his two new YouTube videos in regards to the new system, and gives us a preview of both the Jeep, and the Gyrocopter. Not shown in the video will be a Pedal Biclycle, as well as a new chopper style motorbike lovingly dubbed “the hog”.
Alpha 17 Vehicles – The Gyrocopter
This Alpha 17, prepare to take flight over your enemies. With this new Gryocopter, players will soar through the skies. Think of the new travel possibilities, as well as the new base designs that will be thought of just to counter this sexy piece of machinery.
Alpha 17 Vehicles – The Jeep
The Jeep is The Fun Pimp’s solution to your off-road nightmares. No more driving through the desert, only to be stopped by a cactus, or yucca plant. No more worrying that if you run into a puddle you would have to dismantle your potentially loaded-full minibike, and rebuild it just to get out of the water. Jeep Jeep Motherfucker.
Alpha 17 Vehicles – The Hog
Not much is known at this point about the Hog, except that it appears to be the minibike’s bad-ass older brother. We will be updating this page once we learn more about this sexy metal monster.
Alpha 17 Vehicles – The Bicycle
Lastly, we’ve got the Alpha 17 Bicycle. This appears to be the quiet solution to fast travel. Not much information has been released by The Fun Pimps about this Alpha 17 Vehicle. Once Alpha 17 7 Days to Die reaches stable build, the Bicycle will be paint-able. While the Hog is the minibike’s older brother, this would appear to be the Minibike’s little sister.
Alpha 17 Vehicles Showcase
The video featured above showcases the new 7 Days to Die vehicle system, as well as new “MoCap” animations, or 3D motion capture character animations. These 3D animations will significantly improve the look and feel of the character models inside the game.
